  1. ENVIRON is a text file from the Evangelical Environmental Network.  The
  2. first portion of this file is "An Evangelical Declaration on the Care
  3. of Creation," and the second is a paper on land degradation from human
  4. activity.  In 1967 Lynn White, Jr., (The Historical Roots of Our
  5. Ecological Crisis) blamed those following the Judeo-Christian tradition
  6. for many of Earth's environmental problems.  While Christians have had
  7. a hand in causing many of the environmental problems of today, so have
  8. many others.  What many people do not know is that there is a clear
  9. biblical mandate to care for the created world and the people in it.
  10. This paper makes that clear.  I recommend it.
